    Formerly (1999) the Convention Liaison Council. This "umbrella" organization is comprised of 26 industry-related associations that are directly involved in the convention, exposition, trade show, meeting, travel and tourism industries. It provides a focal point for the industry to exchange information, recommend solutions to industry problems, develop programs to serve the industry and to create public awareness of the size of the industry. Sponsors Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) program and Hall of Leaders Recognition.

IAEM Services is a for-profit subsidiary.

  • MPI – Meeting Professionals International

MPI has almost 60 local and global chapters. Supports the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) program; also sponsors the Certified Meeting Manager (CMM) designation.

  • NCBMP - National Coalition of Black Meeting Planners
